Dakpyo Noodles
Noodles hung like curtains to dry in the drying room

We choose daily change over settled tradition.

About UsSince 1959

A Dakpyo Noodles newspaper advertisement, Daegu, around 1959.

What we keep is not tradition — it is quality.

In 1959, founder Lee Ki-ryong — an engineer who built noodle-making machinery — took Dakpyo's first step by adopting indoor drying, a cutting-edge technology of the day. The attitude that followed, embracing new technology without hesitation and introducing the first noodles presented as 'vacuum somyeon', has been Dakpyo's core value for sixty-five years.

Dakpyo does not settle into a tradition of repeating the past. If an idea can make a better noodle, we gladly try it — and rebuild processes and machines without compromise based on what we learn. Change accumulated through countless attempts and failures is what built Dakpyo's quality. And we will keep accumulating change.
